Ideal for a short stay Positive: Great location (near the river) with a spacious living room and sofa; overall clean and well-equipped with plenty of cooking tools and appliances. Negative: The bedroom layout is a bit weird, as the bathroom connects the room to the hallway, making it impossible to enter or exit if someone is inside. The bedroom window is stuck, which feels less private if you prefer keeping it fully closed while sleeping. The toilet flush is also quite weak and doesn’t work well.

A handy base for Lakeland exploring Positive: The property could not be more central for exploring Bowness-on-Windermere; it's two minutes' walk away from the lake, a small supermarket, shops and bus stop, which is helpful for those travelling via public transport. Negative: The property would benefit from some soft lighting in the lounge/kitchen area, also a few more items of glassware, crockery and cutlery.

No parking and too many stairs and indifferent owner Positive: Location but not the access or four flights of stairs to get up to it that we weren’t told about on the ad only on instructions received the evening before arrival Negative: Not enough pans/cutlery and only 1x hand towel and toilet still with urine in it and freezer door in the fridge broken and plug socket broken in lounge and pics on site are not all of this flat he has two different flats so mis represented he said he would attend with the missing items but never came very bad and told us he only leaves 1x hand towel anyway ! So for two people thats not acceptable or hygienic and he doesn’t respond immediately when you contact him which for us staying two nights meant we couldn’t cook a proper meal without more kitchen items so again not acceptable to not be checked before we arrived that everything was there for us
