Apartment 3 Jester Court

Cheap and cheerful but needed updating urgently Positive: Great location, perfect for walks and close to loads of shops and restaurants, on a direct bus route too so really useful. Bed was surprisingly comfy as well and terrace was a nice bonus. Negative: The bathroom has a lot of mould issues that have clearly either been painted over or previously bodged and then not fully fixed. There is a seriously strong smell of damp and mould in the bathroom which we had to leave the door open to try and dissipate but it was clearly needing some TLC in that room. The projector was useless there was no way even when it was dark that the picture was ever going to be good quality, in the daytime you had no chance of seeing it even with blinds down.

Negative: the entrance way into the building was a bit scruffy

Simply beautiful break away. Positive: The apartment was beautifully appointed, well equipped, spacious and comfortable. The location is absolutely superb and everything you could possibly need (eateries, pubs, coffee shops, pubs etc) are all on your doorstep. This is a perfect apartment for enjoying the best of the Lake District, with really close access to tremendous walking areas, close access to being able to eat out or drink out, but also a well enough equipped kitchen to eat well at home if you fancy a night in. Nice bathroom and wonderfully comfortable beds. The hosts are easily contactable and extremely helpful. We will definitely be coming back and have already booked for the same period next year. Negative: The kitchen/living area is a large room with a high ceiling and needs a bigger radiator to properly warm the space.
